Twenty-plus years in, The Golden Bear remains one of Midtown’s most reliable constants. The menu takes a California-Mediterranean approach with some unexpected swings — the Juicy Lucy, a cheddar-stuffed burger patty, has become something of a local legend, while adobo wings, kimchi fried rice, and the Bong Rip Hawaiian Pizza keep things interesting. Weekend brunch leans party-forward with breakfast pizzas and the Sunrise Sando. Lunch, happy hour, dinner, and brunch are all served, and the kitchen is scratch-made throughout.

Sixteen-plus rotating taps keep the craft beer selection fresh, with ales, lagers, IPAs, and ciders well represented.
