Named after the owners&#8217; 140-pound Great Pyrenees, MoJo&#8217;s Local Tap &amp; Kitchen sits at the edge of Midtown near the Memorial Auditorium and takes its &#8220;Local&#8221; identity seriously — from a tap list heavily weighted toward Sacramento-area breweries to a kitchen influenced by the chef&#8217;s New Orleans background. The result is a space that feels genuinely neighborhood-rooted: contemporary and relaxed, with large roll-up doors that open the interior onto a dog-friendly patio and a crowd that skews families, regulars, and sports fans in roughly equal measure.</div>
<h3>Drinks</h3>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px;">With 25+ rotating taps, the draft list covers IPAs, pale ales, pilsners, lagers, wheat beers, porters, stouts, sours, ciders, and hard seltzers — plus wine, kombucha, and non-alcoholic options. The emphasis is firmly on local and regional breweries, keeping the lineup fresh and Sacramento-focused. Happy hour runs weekdays from 3 PM to 6 PM with $1 off full-pour drafts and food specials.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 18px;"><a title="Drink Menu" href="https://mojoslocal.com/drinks-menu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">View the Drink Menu</a></div>
<h3>Food</h3>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px;">The menu takes pub fare in a bolder direction. Starters like wings, Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese, street tacos, chicharrones, and house-made chips &amp; salsa are built for sharing, while the main menu runs burgers, sandwiches, and salads with some New Orleans influence woven in. The Cajun Bacon Blue Burger, the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the Dip Trio are standout orders. Sunday brunch kicks off at 9:30 AM with a dedicated menu.</div>

<h3>Sports &amp; Events</h3>
<div style="margin-bottom: 18px;">Multiple HD screens and a genuine enthusiasm for local teams make MoJo&#8217;s a reliable game-day destination — Kings playoff nights in particular bring a high-energy crowd. Beyond sports, the space is designed as a true neighborhood gathering spot, welcoming to kids, dogs, and regulars alike. The patio and roll-up doors make it one of the more comfortable indoor-outdoor setups in this part of Midtown.</div>

Sitting directly across from Fremont Park on 16th Street, Karma Brew is the kind of place that&#8217;s easy to walk past and hard to leave once you&#8217;re in. Snug, dimly lit, and eclectic in the best way — one regular described it as a &#8220;funky European pub with a classy flare,&#8221; which is about as accurate as it gets. The fireplace, board games, and lived-in décor make it a natural retreat from the higher-energy stops along the Midtown circuit.</div>
<h3>Beer</h3>
<div style="margin-bottom: 18px;">The draft selection takes craft beer seriously, with a rotating lineup that leans into Belgian-style wheats and ales, German lagers, California pale ales, and West Coast imperial reds. Barrel-aged sours and Russian Imperial Stouts make regular appearances for those chasing something with more weight. Wine is also available for those who prefer it.</div>
<h3>Food</h3>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px;">The menu takes a Mediterranean-influenced approach to pub fare — wraps, platters, hummus and pita samplers, salads, sandwiches, and soups. Vegetarian and vegan options are well represented throughout, making it a solid stop for mixed groups.</div>

<h3>The Patio</h3>
<div style="margin-bottom: 18px;">The shaded outdoor patio faces Fremont Park and is one of the quieter, more pleasant places to sit outside in Midtown. Dog-friendly and ideal for people-watching, it&#8217;s particularly worth seeking out on a warm afternoon or a crisp autumn evening when the leaves are changing across the street.</div>

Housed in a beautifully restored 1910 Craftsman mansion at 21st and L Streets, Kupros Craft House is one of the more architecturally distinctive stops in Midtown. Dark wood, stained glass, vintage light fixtures, and a layout that genuinely feels like a well-loved home — downstairs bar and cozy booths, upstairs seating, a second-story balcony, and a front porch that ranks among the better spots in the neighborhood to sit outside and watch Midtown go by.</div>
<h3>Food</h3>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px;">The kitchen takes classic comfort food and elevates it with quality ingredients. The poutine — house-cut fries with beef gravy and white cheddar cheese curds — has earned a loyal following, and the K.C.H. Burger and Spicy Chicken Sandwich are menu staples. A house-made black bean veggie burger keeps the vegetarian crowd well covered. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 1:30 PM, with a relaxed pace to match the setting.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 18px;"><a href="https://www.kuproscrafthouse.com/menu" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">View the Food Menu</a></div>
<h3>Beer</h3>
<div style="margin-bottom: 18px;">The rotating craft tap list leans heavily into West Coast breweries with seasonal imports mixed in. The chalkboard behind the bar keeps the current lineup easy to browse. Happy hour runs Monday from 4 PM to close, and Tuesday through Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM — one of the more generous stretches in Midtown.</div>
<h3>Events</h3>
<div style="margin-bottom: 18px;">Wednesday trivia — &#8220;Triviology 101&#8221; starting at 7 PM — is one of the more popular weekly events in the neighborhood, regularly filling both floors. Local musicians make occasional appearances in a low-key, house-party setting that suits the space well.</div>
