Named after the owners’ 140-pound Great Pyrenees, MoJo’s Local Tap & Kitchen sits at the edge of Midtown near the Memorial Auditorium and takes its “Local” identity seriously — from a tap list heavily weighted toward Sacramento-area breweries to a kitchen influenced by the chef’s New Orleans background. With 25+ rotating taps, the draft list covers IPAs, pale ales, pilsners, lagers, wheat beers, porters, stouts, sours, ciders, and hard seltzers — plus wine, kombucha, and non-alcoholic options. The emphasis is firmly on local and regional breweries, keeping the lineup fresh and Sacramento-focused. Happy hour runs weekdays from 3 PM to 6 PM with $1 off full-pour drafts and food specials.

The menu takes pub fare in a bolder direction. Starters like wings, Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese, street tacos, chicharrones, and house-made chips & salsa are built for sharing, while the main menu runs burgers, sandwiches, and salads with some New Orleans influence woven in.
